Keith “Keebler” Horvath

Keith is a veteran of the Chicago Comedy and Theatre scene. Before moving to Austin, he was the Class/Internship Administrator, a manager, the director/coordinator of The Annoyance Theatre’s College team: DOPEamine, and directed two mainstage revues. He served as Adjunct Faculty at Columbia College Chicago in the Comedy Writing and Performance major where he was Faculty Advisor to Sketch Club, and a director of several improv and sketch shows. He was the Director of Youth and Outreach, a member of the Incubator Selection Committee, and a teacher and director for The Playground Theater, and coached RECESS: an outreach program performing short-formimprovisation for the children of Lurie Children’s Hospital. He is one of only seventy worldwide alumni of The Second City Directing Program, and an alum of The Conservatory and Comedy Studies programs. He has additionally graduated from iO Chicago’s improv program, and has his BA in Theatre Acting and Fiction Writing.

Keith has nearly twenty years of theatrical training and experience, and has devised and directed over three dozen original sketch revues, plays, musicals, and solo shows, and has coached dozens more improv groups. He is a former director of Sketch Cast and Coached Ensembles in The Second City Training Center, and was AD for BlueCo, one of The Second City’s National Touring Companies.
