Stephanie Thoreson is an Austin-based comedian, actor, writer, voice over artist, and producer best known for sketch and improv comedy. The winner of Hill Country Film Fest’s “Best Actress” award and ColdTowne Theater’s “Best Character Performer” award recently premiered her second one-person show Fishbowl, which features eight distinct characters and walks the line between comedy and tragedy, aiming to advocate for mental health awareness within artists’ communities. She is one half of the team behind Baby Lion Studios, an independent production company focused on nostalgia, fun, and conversation. Stephanie is also a member of the Board of Directors for BettyFest, an organization and annual festival which celebrates and empowers the diverse voices of women and non-binary performers in and beyond the Austin comedy community. You can see Stephanie every Friday night at ColdTowne Theater performing with the award-winning all-women improv troupe Loverboy, named by Thrillist as one of the best comedy shows in Austin. She plays the lead in the feature film Good Feels on Wheels, winner of the “Best Texas Film Award” at the Lone Star Film Festival and the “Audience Award” for best feature film at the Indy Film Fest.
